BJP Leader from Telangana found dead in his home in Hyderabad; suicide suspected
The tragedy was made public when the Miyapur police learned of a suicide within the confines of the Miyapur police station early on Monday morning.
Gnanendra Prasad, a leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party, was discovered dead at his home on Monday, according to officials. When officers arrived, they discovered Mr. Prasad hanging from a fan.
The tragedy was made public when the Miyapur police learned of a suicide within the confines of the Miyapur police station early on Monday morning.
"As soon as one team was sent to the scene, authorities discovered a person who had hanged himself in his home from a ceiling fan. Although the cause of his suicide is still unknown, he was staying in his penthouse for the past few days," police said.
The deceased person's body has been transported to a nearby government hospital for a post-mortem (PME).
A case has been filed under section 174 of the CrPC.
There are further investigations under progress.
