Congress plans Bharat Jodo Yatra from September 7, with eye on 2024 polls

The "Bharat Jodo Yatra" has been moved by Congress from October 2 to September 7. The pilgrimage will begin in Kanyakumari.

The "Bharat Jodo Yatra" of the Congress party is scheduled to start on September 7, according to the organization. Originally, it was slated to start on October 2 in honor of Gandhi Jayanti.

The yatra would reportedly begin on September 7 in Kanyakumari and end in Kashmir, per reports. Yatra will take roughly 150 days to complete and cover a distance of 3,500 kilometers through 12 states.

All Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, will take part in the "padayatra," according to AICC General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, who is also in charge of communication.

In the Congress's "Nav Sankalp," president Sonia Gandhi launched a "Bharat Jodo Yatra" from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, thinking camp organized in Udaipur.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra's organizing committee is under the direction of Digvijaya Singh.

Digvijaya Singh explained in a series of tweets that prominent Indian freedom fighter GG Parikh ji had asked all of the country's citizens who support "Unity in Diversity" and "Sarva Dharma Sambhav" to lead the "Jodo India campaign." which was determined to begin today.
