The DJ system's generator wiring in the vehicle may have caused the tragedy, according to the police.
"Around midnight, a pick-up van transporting Kanwariyas on its way to Jalpesh was electrocuted at the Dharla Bridge underneath the Mekhliganj Police Station. According to the early investigation, it appears that the incident occurred as a result of wiring of the DJ system's generator, which was installed in the back of the vehicle "Amit Varma, additional superintendent of police for Mathabhanga, stated.
