Aug 26, 2022On Monday, a hoax bomb threat was made to a five-star hotel in Mumbai, requesting a ransom of 5 crore to stop numerous explosions.
According to insiders, the call was made at the Lalit hotel in Mumbai at 6 pm.
The unnamed caller said that the Lalit hotel had four bombs stashed there and threatened to detonate them if the management didn't agree to pay a 5-crore ransom.
However, it turned out to be a hoax because following security inspections, no device was discovered anywhere in the hotel.
According to the pertinent sections of the Indian Penal Code, Sahar police have filed a case against the unnamed caller, and further investigation is ongoing.
