Imran Khan, a former Pakistani prime minister, had a FIR filed against him under the Anti-Terrorism Act (ATA). While speaking at a rally in Islamabad, Imran Khan was arrested for threatening a judge and two high-ranking officials.

Hours after the former prime minister attacked state institutions and made provocative remarks during a public protest staged at the F-9 Park late on Saturday night, Pakistan's electronic media authority barred satellite television channels from airing live speeches of Imran Khan.

Imran's recorded address would only be allowed to air if an adequate delay mechanism was in place to provide effective monitoring and editorial control, according to the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA).

The PEMRA stated in its directive that it has been noticed that PTI Chairman Imran Khan consistently targets state institutions in his speeches and statements by making unfounded accusations and spreading hate speech by making provocative statements about state officers and institutions, which is detrimental to maintaining law and order and is likely to disturb public peace and tranquilly.

In his remarks to the public on Saturday, Khan vowed to bring lawsuits against senior police officers, a female magistrate, the Pakistani Election Commission, and political rivals over the treatment of his aide Shahbaz Gill, who was detained last week on sedition-related allegations.

Pakistan's Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah remarked on Sunday that the speech by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) head was a continuation of a trend to target the army and other institutions.

Meanwhile, Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) claimed that YouTube was disrupted in Pakistan on multiple internet providers.
