At least five individuals were killed and two more were hurt in two separate accidents on Thursday late at night in the Bijnor neighborhood. Three persons were killed and two others were hurt when their car slammed into a tree in the first collision. The incident happened on Jaleelpur Road, close to the Chandpur Police Station in Bijnor.

According to the police, Amroha district residents Jitendra (age 41), Mishri (age 40), and Vipin (age 38) all passed away, while Vijaypal and Samarpal were hurt. They alleged that a stray cow left unsupervised on the road was to blame for the collision. They lost control of the vehicle in their attempt to save it. Aasif (40), and Rishal Ahmed (39), two bike riders from Sherkot town, were killed in the second accident when a speeding automobile struck their bikes at Bhootpuri village.
